Mohamed Al Mady

AL MADY HAS spent spent more than a decade and a half as CEO, completing the dramatic transformation of SABIC into the world’s biggest chemical maker. He took over in 1998 and continued its expansion to become the largest listed company in the Middle East. More recently, al-Mady said that the recent oil price drop, impacting SABIC’s earnings, was only temporary, having previously forecast a positive global outlook for petrochemical demand in July.

Editor’s note: Mohamed Al Mady stepped down from his SABIC roles in mid-February after Saudi’s King Salman appointed him as the president of the country’s military industries corporation.
