DESPITE FALLING OIL prices, Al Suwaidi is set to continue to play an important role in the UAE’s energy mix this year, particularly with the launch of the Shah gas project deemed vital for keeping the UAE supplied with fuel and reducing its gas imports. As director of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company and a board member of several organisations, Al Suwaidi has also been instrumental in renegotiating contracts with foreign companies and pushing oil concessions forward with new partners.
