In this position, the daughter of a former Saudi ambassador to the US championed the licensing of female only-gyms and sports clubs and called for the inclusion of more women in sport. This culminated in Saudi Arabia’s allowing of girls to take physical education classes in schools for the first time in September and her October appointment as the first woman to lead a federation covering sporting activities for men and women as president of the Saudi Federation for Community Sport. The kingdom has since allowed women to enter stadiums to watch football games for the first time. Head of women’s affairs, Saudi Arabia’s General Sports Authority Origin:KSA Residence:KSA Sector:Sport
