Home Covid-19 Hala offers free rides home for Dubai residents returning from Covid-19 vaccination centres The offer is valid on Hala (Dubai Taxis) and Hala Van (Dubai Taxis), starting from January 26 by Varun Godinho January 26, 2021 Hala, a joint venture between Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and Careem, has said that it will offer free rides to all Dubai residents returning from 10 listed Covid-19 vaccination centres in the emirate. The offer is valid on Hala (Dubai Taxis) and Hala Van (Dubai Taxis), starting from January 26. Upto four passengers can travel in a Hala Van, while two are permitted in a regular Hala sedan taxi. The company says that the move is in support of those choosing to get vaccinated as part of the national vaccination programme and can be availed by using the promo code HALAVAC on the Careem app when booking the Hala ride. The designated list of centres include: One Central (World Trade Centre) Alittihad Health Center (Al Safa, Jumeirah) Hor Al Anz Health Centre (Hor Al Anz 16th St – Deira) Al Qusais Health Centre (Al Qusais 1) Zabeel Primary Health Care Centre (185, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard) Al Mizhar Primary Health Care Centre (Al Khawaneej Road) Nad Al Hamar Primary Health Care Centre (33rd Street, Nad Al Hamr) Al Barsha Primary Health Care Centre (Al Barsha) Al Safa Primary Health Care Centre (Al Wasl Rd, Jumeirah) Dubai Parks and Resorts “We hope that for those who wish to take the vaccine, this initiative makes doing so that little bit easier, with our safe and simple service provided for free on the way home,” said Clemence Dutertre, CEO of Hala. Another ride-hailing service, Uber too said earlier this week that it will offer a 25 per cent discount on two Uber rides, up to Dhs20 each, to and from Covid-19 vaccination centres in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
