Home Covid-19 GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 659 cases; Saudi registers 1,975 infections, 32 deaths The death toll in Saudi Arabia and the UAE has risen to 611 and 273 respectively by Zainab Mansoor June 4, 2020 UAE The Ministry of Health and Prevention has reported 659 new Covid-19 cases, as a result of 54,000 additional tests conducted to screen for the virus. The total number of cases has now risen to 37,018. The new cases identified are undergoing treatment. The ministry also announced the death of three Covid-19 patients due to complications, raising the death toll to 273. With 419 additional recoveries, the total number of patients who have recovered from the contagion has now reached 19,572. Riyadh registered 675 infections, followed by Makkah (286) and Jeddah (259).
