Hana Al Rostamani has established herself as one of the Middle East’s most influential banking leaders, guiding First Abu Dhabi Bank through a period of sustained growth, innovation and international expansion. As the first female CEO in the bank’s history, she continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of financial services in the UAE and beyond.
Under her leadership, FAB delivered a landmark performance in 2025, with net profit attributable to shareholders rising 24 per cent to Dhs21.1bn and group revenue increasing 16 per cent to Dhs36.68bn. The bank’s momentum continued into 2026, with total assets reaching Dhs1.49tn in the first quarter, representing a 14 per cent year-on-year increase. These results underscore FAB’s position as the UAE’s largest bank and one of the region’s most significant financial institutions.
A key pillar of Al Rostamani’s strategy has been technology-driven transformation. FAB has embedded artificial intelligence across its operations, doubling processing capacity in key areas while reducing turnaround times by as much as 50 per cent. The bank continues to invest heavily in digital capabilities, data analytics and innovation to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Beyond its domestic market, FAB has expanded its international footprint across Europe, Türkiye, Nigeria and India, strengthening its position as a globally connected financial institution.
