Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo

Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo is group CEO of Ooredoo Group, appointed in 2020 to lead the telecommunications and digital infrastructure operator through regional transformation. He brings strategic investment and financial management expertise developed through prior senior roles at Qatar’s highest governmental levels.

He previously held senior roles at Qatar’s Ministry of Finance, where he contributed to national budget strategy, financial policy, and fiscal planning. His experience at Qatar Investment Authority provided comprehensive exposure to investment strategy, portfolio management, and long-term capital allocation decisions at sovereign scale, valuable for large-scale corporate strategy and capital deployment.

Under his leadership, Ooredoo has accelerated its digital transformation and expanded investments in telecommunications and digital infrastructure across its existing markets.

The group’s geographic diversification reflects strategy to access growth markets and diversify revenue streams beyond Qatar’s domestic market.
