Yousef Al-Musaileem has been at the forefront of Saudi Arabia’s digital lending revolution, helping transform Tamam from an internal fintech venture into one of the Kingdom’s leading Shariah-compliant consumer finance platforms. As a founding team member and later chief executive, he played a central role in building the business at a time when Saudi Arabia was rapidly embracing digital financial services under Vision 2030.

Launched by Zain Group in partnership with Saudi partners in 2019, Tamam set out to simplify access to short-term financing through a fully digital customer journey. Al-Musaileem joined the company from its inception, becoming acting CEO in 2021 before taking over permanently in 2022. Under his leadership, the company scaled rapidly, combining artificial intelligence-driven credit assessment with a mobile-first lending platform designed to improve financial inclusion while complying with Saudi regulations. The numbers reflect that growth.

By late 2024, Tamam’s app had surpassed 3.4 million downloads and the company had disbursed more than $500m in financing, making it one of Saudi Arabia’s most prominent digital micro-finance platforms. The business has also expanded its product offering while strengthening partnerships across the Kingdom’s financial ecosystem, positioning itself as a key player in Saudi’s fast-growing fintech sector. In 2026, Al-Musaileem left Tamam to co-found Sakhi, a new fintech venture focused on the next generation of digital consumer finance.
