For Ali Musalam, hospitality was never simply about food. It was about understanding what makes a dining experience memorable, and how exceptional restaurants turn that experience into a lasting brand.

Today, as founder and CEO of NAVA Group, Musalam is translating that philosophy into a growing portfolio of Saudi-born hospitality concepts designed to compete on a global stage.

His journey began during his years studying in the United States, where he spent his free time exploring restaurants across Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and Chicago. What began as a personal passion soon became an education in hospitality. He became fascinated by the interplay of cuisine, design, service, atmosphere, and customer experience.

That curiosity eventually took him around the world, from Japan, South Korea, China, and Thailand to France, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Singapore, and the UK.

At each destination, Musalam studied more than the menu. He observed operational models, kitchen efficiency, branding, interior design, service culture, and the customer journey, gathering insights that would ultimately inform his own approach to building hospitality businesses.

With that global perspective, he founded NAVA Group with a clear ambition: to develop distinctive Saudi restaurant brands with the quality, sophistication, and operational discipline to resonate well beyond the kingdom.

Today, NAVA Group operates concepts including Rava and Bahriyat, each built around distinctive identities and a commitment to memorable guest experiences. For Musalam, however, growth is not measured simply by the number of restaurants opened. His focus is on creating scalable, sustainable brands supported by operational excellence, innovation, and talent development, systems designed to enable expansion without compromising quality.

As Saudi Arabia accelerates the transformation of its hospitality and tourism sectors under Vision 2030, Musalam sees an opportunity to build something lasting: a leading Middle Eastern hospitality group rooted in Saudi identity yet informed by the world. His philosophy is simple but powerful: hospitality is not merely about serving a meal. It is about creating an experience that stays with the guest long after they leave the table.
