Emirates suspends flights to New York and Paris until further notice

UAE carriers Emirates and Etihad have reduced flights due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic

As global travel restrictions takes effect, UAE carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways have decided to suspend further flights to key destinations as a means to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, Bloomberg reported that Emirates was considering grounding the bulk of its 115 Airbus SE superjumbos.

Emirates had already idled more than 20 A380s and was seeking to delay taking the last handful due for delivery, Bloomberg reported.

On March 10, the carrier said passengers who decide to change their travel plans due to the Covid-19 situation can do so for travel within an 11-month date range in the same booking class without change penalties.

Zurich: Suspended from March 24 until April 30.

Chicago: Reduced from daily to four weekly from March 22 until April 30.

Los Angeles: Reduced from four weekly to three weekly from March 29 until April 30.
