The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has announced the closure of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holiday.

The holiday will start on Monday, April 8, 2024 (Ramadan 29, 1445 AH) and end on Friday, April 12, 2024 (or Monday, April 15, 2024).

The specific end date depends on the official announcement by the UAE government.

Trading and regular market operations will resume the following Friday (April 12) if Eid falls on Tuesday (April 9). If it falls on Wednesday (April 10th), markets will reopen on Monday, April 15.

DGCX and DCCC to work during the Eid Al Fitr holiday

The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) and Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC) will remain operational during this period and maintain their regular trading hours.

The SCA’s decision aligns with the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources circular regarding the holiday for public entities.
