Abu Dhabi’s luxury hospitality bar has been notched up again with the opening of Royal Mangroves Residence at Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara.

The two-floor suite, targeting government ministers, VIPs and celebrities, costs Dhs55,000 a night (before taxes).

Guests enter through a stand-alone entrance beyond the hotel and take a lift up to the suite on the fourth and fifth floors.

The fourth floor has living and dining rooms, two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, while the floor above features a lounge, terrace, another bedroom and enormous mosaic-tiled bathroom – the terrazzo bath offers panoramic views of the mangroves – along with a 50sqm pool containing four jets and three stools.

The terrace, large enough to accommodate a variety of food stations, also has steps down to a bar which adjoins the pool.

Guests can avail of private limousine chauffeur (with wifi) and butler services and those travelling with an entourage can block off more rooms that connect with the fourth floor. Massage and beauty therapists can also be arranged.

Anantara is due to announce details of its first Dubai property later this week.

The Palm website states Anantara Palm Jumeirah Hotel Resort & Spa will be part of Tiara Residence on Palm Jumeirah.
