Dubai’s upcoming new theme park IMG Worlds of Adventure will feature a haunted hotel as part of its attractions, it was revealed on Wednesday.
Located within the IMG Boulevard zone of the massive indoor park, the new attraction will cater to tourists seeking “something out of the ordinary,” a statement said.
Guests can expect to experience hair-raising thrills and spooks within the haunted hotel, according to IMG. Access to the attraction will be included in the park’s overall ticket price.
IMG Worlds of Adventure chief executive officer Lennard Otto said: “We are thrilled to be launching The Haunted Hotel, which will offer our guests a spine-tingling time, leaving lasting memories which they will hope to forget.
“Although there are hundreds of hotels close by, we wanted to do something different and the way the Donovan brothers like to run a business caught our attention. Their approach to hospitality is certainly not for the faint hearted.”
IMG Worlds of Adventure, which will open its doors on August 15, will be the world’s largest indoor theme park when it opens.
It will include four zones themed around Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard. In total it will feature 20 rides and attractions and also include 25 retail concept stores and 28 food and beverage outlets.
The 1.5 million square feet facility has the capacity to welcome more than 30,000 people a day and expects 4.5 million visitors during its first year of operation.
Tickets are available for purchase on the company’s website and are priced at Dhs 300 for adults and Dhs 250 for children.
