Dubai Metro Extends Timings During Ramadan

Public transport facilities including the metro and buses will operate on revised timings during the holy month.

The Dubai Metro has extended its timings for some of its services during Ramadan. While the red line will start service 20 minutes early at 5.30 am, green line services will begin at the usual time of 5.50 am from Saturday to Wednesday, with both running until midnight. The two lines will also operate until 1 am on Thursdays with services running from 1 pm to 1 am on Fridays, according to an RTA statement.

The feeder bus service to Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta and Burj Khalifa metro stations will operate from 7 am till 1 am while the Abu Hail and Etisalat station feeder buses will operate from 10 am to 10 pm.

Paid parking hours have also been revised in accordance with the shorter working hours during Ramadan. All the paid parking zones will be active from 8 am to 11 am and resume service again from 7 pm to 12 midnight on Saturdays to Thursdays. The parking zones in Deira Fish Market will be active from 8 am to 11 am and be reactivated from 7 pm to 11 pm.

The parking zone timings at Tecom, Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and Knowledge Village will remain unchanged and continue to operate from Saturday through Thursday from 8 am till 6 pm without any breaks in between.

Buses in the emirate will also ply longer hours and will be operational on selected routes until midnight.
