Dubai International Hotel is offering special short and long transit packages for stays up to 12 and 24 hours respectively this summer.

The 12-hour package starts from Dhs500 ($136) and comprises a Deluxe Room, Ahlan Meet & Greet on Arrival/Departure and Timeless Spa 15-minute Express Treatment (Dhs560 for Double and Dhs660 for Triple). The day-long one starts from Dhs650 ($177) and alongside the same services, also includes a three-course meal at The Gallery (Dhs850 for Double, Dhs955 Triple).

More than half of Dubai International Airport’s total passengers are catching connecting flights, amounting to around 4.5 million passengers every month, and it is a key government strategy to provide more services for transit passengers inside and outside DXB.

The UAE Cabinet recently decreed that transit passengers are exempt from all entry fees for the first 48 hours and transit visas can be extended for up to 96 hours for a fee of Dhs50.

This dovetails with the 10X ‘Microcosm of Dubai’ project, in partnership with Dubai Future Foundation, which aims to promote the city’s tourism offering to passengers.

MyDubai Experience, a new 360-degree digital installation, has been set up in Terminal 3 by DTCM, Dubai Airports and Emirates, providing passengers with tailor-made two-day Dubai itineraries based on their interests.
