Home Brand View Dubai International Boat Show to return this month It will be held from March 9-13 at Dubai Harbour, the MENA region’s largest marina by Gulf Business March 8, 2022 The 28th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show is set to return this year and will be held from March 9-13 at an all-new location – the Dubai Harbour. Dubai Harbour is the MENA region’s largest marina, which will be required since there over 800 brands from 54 countries which are expected to showcase themselves at the event. The Middle East region is reported to be home to 12.6 per cent of world’s superyachts, the second-highest fleet-to-billionaire ratio in the world. Visitors to the Boat Show will be able to witness global product launches from brands including Gulf Craft, Sunreef Yachts, Al Daen, Blue Gulf Boats and Al Fajer, as well as regional launches from Princess Yachts, Cranchi, Sanlorenzo and Azimut Yachts, among others. The show’s Superyacht Avenue will feature world-class builders including Lurssen and Oceanco. On display will be up to 50 yachts from the likes of Feadship, Majesty, Nomad, and San Lorenzo. Watch out for the world premieres at the show, none as eagerly anticipated as Sunreef Eco line 80 – a sustainable luxury eco yacht. Another world first on display will be Folding Fins by Exco which uses cutting-edge technology to create what is believed to be among the most portable and lightest diving fins in the world. Triton Submersibles meanwhile will also unveil the world’s first submersibles with a free-form acrylic pressure hull – that can seat between seven-nine 9 people. With a strong focus on sustainability, the Faro 5 Solar Set is the first maritime set in the world to integrate a 100 per cent sustainable electric boat and a solar-charging dock, while the Azimut 78 uses carbon fibre throughout thereby significantly reducing fuel consumption. France-based start-up SeaBubbles will use the event to introduce its new-generation of urban hydrogen flying boat, the SeaBubble H2 flying boat that is crafted as zero wave, zero noise and zero emissions. Apart from all the marine focus, the show also shines a spotlight on supercars in the dedicated Supercar Promenade, in association with the private hypercar club Group 63. On display will be the Lamborghini Veneno – one of only three in the world – and the McLaren Elva too. Meanwhile the Dive MENA Expo which takes place alongside the Boat Show is where attendees can immerse themselves in the sector, and engage with leading personalities including professional divers like Ahmed Gabr, Rickard Lundgren, David Diley. There are several VIP Experiences that have been specially curated for this show. These include watchmaking classes with Swiss watchmaking giant Panerai, where horology enthusiast can learn about the roots of the brand which was born in Florence. There are also VIP Yacht tours which are pre-arranged and include dedicated VVIP tours of the global and regional yachts on display. When visiting the Supercar Promenade, another VIP experience is the cigar rolling workshops that will be conducted alongside. Then there’s the Oyster & Bubbles night at the VIP lounge by Tanishq as well as sundowners at Nikki Beach pop-up which has been set up at the Boat Show as well.
