The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has opened registration for e-learning courses targeted at creative professionals in Dubai and across the UAE via its partnership with networking platform LinkedIn.

The educational courses are offered for free and those who enroll can enjoy membership for this service for a year.

There are over 100 specialised training courses, some of which are tailored for creative professionals in two major areas.

The first is business management, which includes courses on the digital shift of businesses, crisis management, business development, and legal and finance knowledge; while the second is specialised skill development courses in the fields of photography, graphic design, game design, art, product design, and fashion, among others, reported news agency WAM.

The agreement signed between Dubai Culture and LinkedIn establishes cooperation in three main areas including “creating an educational programme to provide training and learning opportunities for creative professionals, fostering connections and networking to establish a global cultural network from Dubai, and developing data and insights for future studies and research,” Dubai Culture tweeted recently.

Those who want to sign up for this initiative can express their interest to do so by signing up via the Dubai Culture’s website.

A specialised team from the government body will then collect the data submitted by the individuals, evaluate it and select those who are eligible to participate based on a set of criteria.

Once the individuals have been selected, Dubai Culture will share that list with LinkedIn, which in turn will communicate with the applicants via email to create accounts for them on the network (if they don’t have one already) and allocate their desired courses.

Following the registration, the applicants may commence taking the accredited and designed educational courses prepared and presented by a group of international skilled experts.
