Dubai Health Authority

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has launched three new dedicated Covid-19 testing facilities in the emirate at Al Rashidiya Majlis, Al Hamriya Port Majlis and Jumeirah 1 Port Majlis, in collaboration with the Community Development Authority Dubai.

It takes the number of DHA centres exclusively for Covid-19 testing up to five – which includes the centres already opened at Al Shabab Al-Ahli and Al Nasr Clubs.

The public can now get their PCR tests done at these facilities after registering and booking an appointment through DHA’s toll-free number 800342.

The centres operate seven days a week from 11am-6pm, with a capacity of 550 examinations per day for each centre.

The health authority recently lowered the price of the Covid-19 PCR lab tests undertaken at all government facilities within the emirate to Dhs150.

Humaid Al Qutami, director-general of the DHA visited the Jumeirah 1 Port Majlis recently and stated that the DHA strongly relies on the commitment of community members for the precautionary measures to protect their health and the health of others.

He added that the expansion of the scope of Covid-19 testing comes as a result of the authority’s keenness to ensure the ease of access of this service to people everywhere in Dubai and to facilitate examination procedures for everyone, especially those living in high-density residential areas, reported news agency WAM.

On Tuesday, the UAE said that it had become the first country in the world where the number of Covid-19 tests exceeded the total population, with the number of tests performed by national health establishments totalling over 10 million.
