Dubai developer Damac’s subsidiary DICO UK Property Holdings has launched a high-end residential project with Versace interiors in London, the company announced on Monday.

The 50-storey, 360-unit project, called AYKON Nine Elms, will be located in the Nine Elms regeneration area overlooking the River Thames.

The project will feature premium penthouses, one-, two-, three-bedroom and Manhattan studio units with city and river views.

The lobby and interiors for each unit will be designed and fitted out by Versace Home.

Amenities including a gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool and spa, an owners lounge, children’s play area, roof garden and cinema will also be designed by Versace Home, a statement said.

The tower is due for completion in 2020.

CEO of Versace Gian Giacomo Ferraris said: “In recent years, private residential projects have become a strategic part of the Versace world. Thanks to the collaboration with DICO UK Property Holdings Ltd and Damac – a developer who we have worked with for many years – we bring the ultimate expression of Versace’s lifestyle to London”.

Damac chairman Hussain Sajwani added: “There is a huge appetite from our current global customer base for luxury property investments in London.

“AYKON Nine Elms presents prospective buyers with an unrivalled opportunity to own a luxurious central London home, in close proximity to the luxury shopping destinations of Knightsbridge and Mayfair, Chelsea and the planned Linear Park,” he added.

Companies working on the project include architecture firms Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Turner & Townsend and consultants JLL and WSP.

One of the most active developers in Dubai, Damac has partnered with luxury international brands such as Versace, FENDI and Paramount for projects in the emirate.

Among its main projects are master communities AKOYA by Damac and AKOYA Oxygen, both of which feature 18-hole golf courses managed by the Trump Organisation.
