Covid-19 update: UAE reports 1,229 cases, 2 deaths

The UAE reported 1,229 Covid-19 infections on May 17, raising the total case count to 547,411.

The new cases were detected, following 141,947 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The health ministry also confirmed 1,217 recoveries and two deaths in the last 24 hours.

The total recoveries in the UAE stand at 527,519, while the death toll has risen to 1,633.
