Covid-19: UAE reports 2,404 infections; 80,683 vaccines administered in last 24 hours

The UAE has reported 2,404 additional infections on January 11, as a result of 133,458 tests conducted to screen for the Covid-19 pathogen.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention also confirmed 2,252 recoveries and 3 deaths.

The case count in the country has now risen to 232,982, including 208,366 recoveries and 711 deaths.

The country’s health ministry also confirmed that 80,683 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours, scaling the total number of shots at 1,167,251 with a vaccine distribution rate of 11.8 doses per 100 people.

The efforts are in line with the ministry’s plan to provide the vaccine to all people, helping achieve acquired immunity and helping stem the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
