The UAE reported 2,113 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of recorded infections in the UAE to 470,136, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced.

The cases were detected after MoHAP conducted 260,445 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced six deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,510.

An additional 2,279 individuals also fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 454,600.

In a statement, MoHAP stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

It also called on all members of the society to co-operate with health authorities and adhere to the instructions and physical distancing.
