British hiker dies in Ras Al Khaimah

A British hiker died while hiking in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah on Friday.

The man, who was hiking along with three others, got injured and was stranded in the Al Manaie area, bordering Oman.

After the police was contacted, the National Search and Rescue Centre airlifted the group to the Fujairah Hospital.

However, the British hiker, who was seriously injured, died before the helicopter reached the hospital, according to local media reports.

Police officials urged tourists and residents to be cautious when visiting the mountains in the area.
