As part of its expansion strategy to draw in investor interests, Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) has signed an agreement with global business networking platform, LinkedIn.

Via the agreement, AFZ aims to benefit from its enhanced profile on the digital platform, and foster communications with potential global investors, a statement said.

LinkedIn hosts 660 million members and 30 million companies world-wide.

AFZ aims to showcase itself as a thought leader across key areas such as entrepreneurship, business set up and company acceleration.

The agreement also includes Ajman Free Zone using the LinkedIn professional network as a tool to acquire talent acquisition. It also aims to showcase its work environment to members, hoping to draw them in for employment at the free zone, the statement said.

LinkedIn launched its “Open for Business” feature in Dubai earlier this year, targeted at helping start-ups and entrepreneurs list their services, ensuring their visibility via a LinkedIn search.

Fatma Salem, acting general manager at Ajman Free Zone, said: “The agreement between ourselves and LinkedIn will help us to attract more investors to set up their business at AFZ.”

“We will be heavily focused on communicating our proposition, of providing a thriving eco-system for business start-ups, that offers a range of support services, with innovation the central driver.”
