The proposed vertiports are designed to support the operation of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and autonomous aerial logistics within the emirate. The designs were unveiled at the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS) 2025 in the emirate. In Dubai, Skyports has commenced construction on the world’s first permanent commercial vertiport near Dubai International Airport (DXB). This facility is the first of an initial four planned across Dubai, paving the way for the launch of air taxi services with aircraft partner Joby Aviation in the first quarter of 2026.
