UAE warns motorists of low visibility and strong winds

Temperatures are expected to drop across the country

Gulf Business

The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has urged motorists to be cautious while driving due to low visibility caused by rough weather and strong winds across the country.

In its daily bulletin, NCMS said that the weather may be partly cloudy on Sunday. Moderate to fresh winds, strong over the sea at times, will cause dust over exposed areas.

Seas will be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, and rough in the Sea of Oman.

The relative humidity will increase during the night and early morning over internal and coastal areas with a probability of fog or mist formation, the statement added.

NCMS also predicted a drop in temperature over most areas, with average temperatures ranging between 7 degrees to 27 degrees across the UAE.

Similar weather conditions are expected to persist over the next two days, with strong winds and a higher possibility of mist/fog formation, the NCMS said.
