UAE Armed Forces pens $208m of F&B deals

The contracts were signed at an exhibition in Abu Dhabi

The UAE Armed Forces signed deals worth $207.7m with seven food and beverage suppliers on Monday at an industry conference.

The contracts were signed with the Army Officers Club, Abu Dhabi National Hotel Company Middle East, Al Wasita for Catering, Emirates Hospitality Centre, Kelvin catering services, Army Forces Coop Association and FOODCO, according to state news agency WAM.

“This announcement embodies the strategic cooperation between the government and private sector in Abu Dhabi in its efforts to promote the food sector in the emirate,” said major general staff pilot Ishaq Al Balushi, head of the supply department of the General Command of the Armed Forces.

The contracts were signed at the SIAL exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
