It’s worth remembering that the twins did dabble in a capsule collection for men as far back as 2009, but this now is their first full-fledged and permanent foray into menswear.

“We did one menswear capsule collection many years ago, and in 2016 launched a retail menswear capsule. It was imperative that we received our customers’ feedback and to approach this collection thoughtfully at our pace,” said Ashley in a statement to the press according to Fashionista.

The press statement added that the menswear “echoes the dedication to craftsmanship, exceptional fabrics and fine tailoring” that we’ve come to expect from The Row’s womenswear.

It’s an international effort being poured into the menswear collection. The tailored-pieces will be made in Japan using hand-stitched European techniques, the shirts will be made in France, T-Shirts in America and knitwear in Italy.

Other brands like Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant have historically focused on womenswear, but have recently shifted focus to include menswear too.  One of the year’s most anticipated entries into the menswear space remains Céline who is now helmed by sartorial titan Hedi Slimane and will be unveiling its first ever menswear collection next month.

Luxury menswear is clearly having a moment.
