Saudi Arabia’s PetroRabigh will extend the shutdown of a vacuum gas oil treatment unit to April 25, the company said.

The joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical said last month that the unit would be closed from March 27 to April 19 for maintenance work.

In a statement late on Wednesday, PetroRabigh raised its estimated financial loss due to the outage to around SAR214 million ($57 million) from around SAR170 million when it made the original announcement on March 26.
