Saudi Aramco to shut Riyadh refinery for maintenance

The 126,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude oil refinery will be closed from March 1 for 80 days

Saudi Aramco plans to shut its 126,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude oil refinery in Riyadh for planned maintenance from March 1 for 80 days, the state news agency reported on Tuesday.

The shutdown is to complete construction-related work and tie-in the units of the refinery with a clean fuel project.

The company will increase the production of diesel, gasoline, kerosene, asphalt and LPG from other refineries to meet demand during the shutdown, SPA quoted the company as saying.
