10. Alinma Bank

The biggest banking market in the region, Saudi Arabia, had a good year with its 10 biggest banks achieving higher profit in 2012.

The GCC’s second largest bank by assets, National Commercial Bank, recorded net profit growth of eight per cent to close the gap on Al Rajhi for second place in terms of earnings.
