Passenger declared dead after Dubai-bound Emirates flight diverted

The cause of death was not disclosed

A passenger has died after being found unresponsive on a Dubai-bound Emirates flight on Monday.

The flight from London was diverted to Kuwait after crew were made aware of the passenger’s condition.

The individual was then met by a medical team after landing in Kuwait and taken to hospital before being pronounced dead.

“Emirates flight ‪EK030 from London to Dubai on 4th December 2017, was diverted to Kuwait due to a passenger being unresponsive,” an airline spokesperson said

“Upon arrival in Kuwait, passenger was met by the medical team and taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead. The flight continued to the destination. Emirates expresses its condolences to the passenger’s family.”

The airline does not elaborate on the cause of passenger deaths of passengers under its privacy policy.
