NBAD Appoint StanChart Banker To Head SF Business

National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has appointed Aleem Khan, previously of Standard Chartered, as the head of its newly established structured finance business.

Announcing the new appointment on Wednesday, NBAD said its new arm would provide financing solutions to commodity firms and regional corporates.

Khan previously ran the structured trade finance business for StanChart MENA and Americas.

The new position is the latest case of Gulf banks tapping talent from global lenders as they seek to bolster their investment banking divisions while the latter look to scale back their operations in the region.
