Dubai developer Nakheel has announced plans to launch a St. Regis branded beach club in its Palm Jumeirah development.

The club, which will form part of Nakheel’s Palm West Beach complex, will offer dining, leisure and fitness venues, including an infinity edge pool and a gymnasium.

The facility is part of the management agreement between Nakheel and Starwood Hotels & Resorts for The St Regis Dubai – The Palm. The new luxury hotel will be located in the Nakheel’s 52-storey Palm Tower hotel and residential complex.

Guests of the hotel will have complimentary access to the beach club, while those living in The Palm Tower Residences will receive preferential membership deals, Nakheel said.

The St Regis Dubai – The Palm will offer 289 guest rooms and suites, occupying the first 18 floors of The Palm Tower, while the upper floors will comprise 504 luxury apartments.

The hotel will feature two swimming pools, including the one of the world’s highest infinity pools, located on the 50th floor.

Food and beverage options will include a signature restaurant on the 51st level and an all-day restaurant.

The tower will also feature a public rooftop viewing deck on the 52nd floor.

Nakheel awarded a Dhs 819m construction contract for the project in October last year and it is due for completion in 2018.

Prices for the Palm Tower Residences – 504 furnished studios and one, two and three bedroom apartments – start at Dhs 1.7m.

Residents and guests at tower will have direct access to Nakheel Mall, currently under construction in Palm Jumeirah. The luxury mall will have 300 shops, cinemas, a medical centre, a fitness centre and a roof terrace offering fine dining outlets. The project is slated for completion in 2017.

The Palm Tower will also offer direct access – via a bridge and walkways – to Palm Jumeirah’s beach clubs, including Nakheel’s Club Vista Mare and Palm Promenade West Beach projects.
