Kuwait National Petroleum Co (KNPC) said on Wednesday a problem at a unit of its Mina Ahmadi refinery led to emissions of sulphur oxide and gas flaring, before it was brought under control, Kuwait’s state news agency Kuna reported.

The refinery, the country’s largest is now operating normally, KNPC said. Mina Ahmadi has three crude distillation units with a total capacity of around 442,000 barrels per day.
