Golden Falcon Aviation has confirmed an order for 25 Airbus A320neo jets for Kuwait’s Wataniya Airways worth around $2.8bn at list prices, Golden Falcon said on Monday.
Golden Falcon is the exclusive aircraft provider for Wataniya.
The deal, announced at the Farnborough Airshow, follows an earlier memorandum of understanding announced at last year’s Dubai Airshow.
The Kuwaiti airline resumed operations in July 2017 after a six-year absence blamed on its financial situation and political instability in the Middle East.
It plans to launch services to 16 destinations in Egypt, UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Iran, India, Pakistan and Europe, after resuming services to markets including Tbilisi, Baku and Sarajevo.
