Flydubai boosts Kuwait capacity for holiday traffic

Dubai-based airline flydubai will operate 26 additional flights to Kuwait between February 23- 29, it announced on Monday.

The added capacity will help the airline meet increased demand during Kuwait’s 55th National Day and Liberation Day holidays.

The carrier already operates up to 12 daily flights between Dubai and Kuwait’s Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Terminal.

Flydubai began operating from the dedicated Saad Al Abdullah Terminal in 2013 and offers passengers faster check-in services and shortened queuing time.

Meanwhile in Dubai, passengers can choose to fly to/from Dubai International Airport or the Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central. Flydubai began DWC operations from October 25, 2015.

The airline is also offering special fares on select flights during the period, with business fares from Kuwait to Dubai International starting at Dhs 2,220 (KD 181) and economy rates starting at Dhs 564 (KD 46).

Ticket prices for passengers flying to Al Maktoum airport begin from Dhs 2,158 (business) and Dhs 429 (economy).

Senior vice president for Commercial (GCC, Subcontinent and Africa) Sudhir Sreedharan said: “Kuwait is an important market for flydubai and we remain dedicated to offering passengers from Kuwait more options to travel between the two countries.”
