Dubai’s Ròya announces topping out of Studio City’s first hotel

Hospitality consultancy Ròya has announced the topping out of the first hotel in Dubai’s Studio City.

The four-star property is due to open to guests in the fourth quarter of the year, the Dubai-based firm said.

It features 141 rooms, short stay studios and extended stay residential accommodation alongside a mixture of restaurants ranging from lounges to casual and family dining concepts.

Other elements include a grey water recycling system and low energy consumption plan.

Roya’s affiliate RPM has been appointed as project manager on top of the advisory services the firm is providing until the hotel’s inauguration.

“Our advisory has long seen mid and up-scale properties with excellent integrated food and beverage choices as the future in Dubai’s rapidly maturing hospitality market,” said Ròya Group CEO Ahmed Ramdan.

“The new property will bring to the market a unique indoor-outdoor dining hub with both renowned brands and entrepreneurial, home-grown concepts side by side to create an eclectic mix of restaurants.”

Dubai Studio City was opened by government free zone operator TECOM in 2005. It is home to 275 companies with a particular focus on broadcasting, film production, TV, music and entertainment.
