Deyaar appoints Millennium & Copthorne to manage 3 Dubai hotels

The three properties total nearly 1,000 units

Dubai developer Deyaar has announced a partnership with hotel company Millennium & Copthorne to manage three hospitality projects totalling nearly 1,000 units.

The agreement includes Deyaar’s recently announced Islamic hotel in Al Barsha as well as The Atria in Business Bay and Montrose in Dubai Science Park.

The three properties total 953 units, including one-, two- and three-bedroom serviced apartments and four-star hotel rooms, and are due to be completed in late 2017 and early 2018.

Deyaar said the deal would see Millennium manage and operate all the rooms and provide consultancy services during construction.

The two previously signed a memorandum of understanding in September last year.

“The new developments will provide convenient overnight, short-term and long-term hospitality options for business and leisure travellers to Dubai. We have chosen our locations based on convenient access to the major business and transport nodes, including malls, metro stations and offices,” said Deyaar CEO Saeed Al Qatami.

Millennium & Copthorne’s president and CEO, Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi, said the deal would put the developer on track to reach its target of 100 hotels by 2020.
