The Dhs260m redevelopment of City Centre Sharjah is now 75 per cent complete, with the mall seeing several new additional offerings, it was announced on Sunday.

The mall – owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim – will feature Sharjah’s largest VOX Cinemas multiplex with 12 screens. When open, the multiplex will screen Hollywood, Bollywood and Arabic-language films and will feature a Max experience – with a huge screen and increased seating capacity; the in-cinema gourmet dining concept GOLD by Rhodes; and a Kids cinema.

As part of the new phase, the mall will also add 30 new brands, F&B and entertainment offerings.

The new food and beverage outlets include McDonald’s, Nando’s, Chili’s and Indian restaurant Gazebo.

Fashion and lifestyle brands set to be introduced include Annabelle, lingerie boutique Nayomi, Pakistani ladieswear label Khaadi, luggage brand Carpisa, perfume house Flormar and furniture store Home Box.

The mall will also feature Etisalat, UAE Exchange, Commercial Bank of Dubai, City Centre Clinic, eyewear stores Rivoli EyeZone and Yateem Optician and Life Pharmacy.

More than 700 additional parking spaces will also be added.

The redevelopment is part of Majid Al Futtaim’s planned Dhs30bn investment in the UAE by 2026.

The company plans to invest in existing assets as well as open 10 malls, 28 cinemas and 40 Carrefour hypermarkets by late 2020.
